nick & tanya’s wedding {melbourne wedding photography}

There was so many things about this wedding I loved.

Firstly- the way these two met. Nick works for the Defence Force and was stationed in Darwin where Tanya was studying to be a doctor. On their first date Nick oragnised a ‘treasure hunt’ for them and the treasure at the end waiting for Tanya was an truly amazing prize- Nick! I just love his confidence for date No. 1.

Well- it worked and they have been together ever since no matter how far apart they have had to be. They had been living apart for long stints at  time including when Nick was sent to Afganistan.

Even though most of the planning for their Melbourne wedding was done interstate- (they now live in Brisbane)- Nick & Tanya knew exactly what they wanted for thier wedding – all of their favourite people in one beautiful spot to celebrate a wonderful occasion and what a wonderful day it was.

Bridesmen. I love the concept. Two of Tanya’s best friends are blokes so why not have them in her bridal party? I even got tips on how to each a sushi roll without getting it down your front!

The ceremony and reception was held at the stunning Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne. It was lovely summer weather and the guests got to have their pre dinner drinks in gorgeous surrounds.

The speeches were maybe the highlight of the day for everyone. After the usual thankyous, funny stories and revelations, Nick & Tanya got up to make their speech. They shared with everyone that they were 11 weeks pregnant. I’m teary again even thinking about it. It was a magical moment and as you can imagine – the room went wild!!!

The announcement topped of a beautiful day and made everyone even more excited for the fabulous future these two have in store.

Congrats again you guys and I hope the morning sickness has subsided for you now Tanya.

Enjoy!

martin & carrie’s engagement session {macedon ranges photographer}

Martin & Carrie met me at the gorgeous Mt William Winery – near Lancefield for our photoshoot and we had a great wander and a laugh whilst I snapped a few pics. There were butterflies all over the property and we were even joined by Willow the dog who fancies herself as a hit in front of the camera.

 I also got to hear all about the plans for their April wedding which involves family coming all the from Ireland for the occasion. It’s going to be very special.

Enjoy!

sam & paige’s engagement session {macedon ranges photos}

Paige and I “clicked” right from the very first email she sent me. That feels like a million years ago now and I had been looking forward to catching up with these two again and capturing the love they have for each other and their little furry babies Rosie and Bella- such cuties!!

I met Sam & Paige at a gorgeous location near Kyneton for their photoshoot.  Harmony Row Vineyard is owned and run by Sam’s family and proved to be an absolutely beautiful location for their session. Wide sweeping views as far as the eye can see, the vines, long grass and a real country feel- I couldn’t have picked a more suitable backdrop for this couple. The vineyard also cater for weddings out there which I think would be amazing.

I also loved the props they brought along- the huge frame works really well! Their March wedding in Kyneton and Malmsbury is going to be fabulous.

Enjoy!
