tony & shannon’s wedding – melbourne wedding photographer

Remember Tony & Shannon from their engagement pics a couple of weeks ago- well- here is their wonderful wedding. Lots of emotion, love and joy and it really was fabulous to be there to capture it all.

The ceremony, photos and reception were all at Amberlee Receptions in Cranbourne.

Enjoy!

Elise xo.

And here is our beautiful bride..

And our handsome groom…

The bride walks down the aisle with proud brother Christopher..

Tony can’t stop staring- no wonder! This is always my favourite bit of the ceremony..

And Shannon stares back. They really are so in love these two and the whole world could have disappeared at that very moment and I don’t think it would have bothered them in the least.

A reading…

I think this is my fav from the ceremony…

Can’t wipe the smiles from their faces..

All their wonderful guests- yes- I was standing on the roof!

I think this is my fav from our ‘location’ time together- but there are so many I like it’s really hard to pick! I think it’s the cheekiness of this shot that I love..

And to the reception..

The speeches always get some great shots- but these are some of my favourite speech pics of all time. Tony’s Mum spkoe beautifully- straight from the heart and made everyone cry- including me!

And to the dance – I love that these guys smile so much!

And one to finish…..

new ‘petite pockets’ products for family or baby portraits

How cute are these? They are brand new and we love them! Small enough to fit in your pocket and show off just how gorgeous your family is- just like Emily and her family in this one! Fabulous idea for Chrissy presents too- it will be upon us before you know it so book in for your shoot today. Call the studio on 03 9094 1888.

karen & family- family photos melbourne

Last Sunday I was also lucky enough to meet Karen and her extended family for some pics and a cuppa. They were lots of fun and easy to photograph- it’s great to meet a lovely family that obviously all get along well together and enjoy each other’s company so much.

tony & shannon- engagement photos melbourne

Perhaps it’s wishful thinking but I think Spring is finally on it’s way after a cold grey winter!

Last weekend I was lucky enough to hang out with these guys- Tony & Shannon – and got some fabulous engagement photos in the lead up to their wedding next weekend. How cute are they?? I can’t wait to shoot their wedding.

We started off with a plane spotting session near the Tullamarine Airport followed by a picnic and some wine at another “secret location” close by. I am in love with this new little place and I wanted to keep it under wraps for a little bit longer… I am just looooooving the sour grass and it’s beautiful yellow. Not sure what the technical name for sour grass is- but that’s what we called it when we were kids!

As you can see- we had lots of fun and giggles along the way- but these two are seriously sooooo in love- they were fabulous to photograph.

Enjoy!

daylesford craft experience

A few weekends ago I was lucky enough to take a little time out to attend the Daylesford Craft Experience- which provided some overdue ‘food for the soul’ with all things crafty. I have been a little bit out of it with a newborn in one hand and laptop in the other catching up on work! Adelaide came with us as well as my Mum Marg and long time friend (and my prep teacher) Pam Rees.

It was coordinated by the very clever ladies Merrilyn from Threadneedle Craft Daylesford and Zoe from Purl’s Palace  Next time you are in Daylesford- these two shops are definately worth a visit.

They had 3 very talented craft experst on hand to show some projects and chat about their expertise- and boy- was I totally out of my league!! There was Jodie Carleton of Ric-rac and Anette Eriksson as well as- wait for it- one of my all time favourites: Melly from Melly and Me designs I was totally and utterly starstruck when I met Melly- she was the one who designed the first softie I ever made called Edward- those who have been reading this blog for awhile will hopefully remember him.

Melly was wonderful and also very generously had made Adelaide a little Japanese stuffie for being the youngest member on the day. Just devine and now sits proudly in her nursery.

It was some great inspiration and I look forward to hopefully collaborating with Melly in the future. Exciting!

jodie & family – portrait session

Jodie and her gorgeous extended family all got together for some pics last weekend. There were cousins, brothers and sisters, Mums and Dads, and even a great grandmother in the mix! The geese were also keen to get in on the action. We had lots of laughs and got some great shots. Thanks for a great time guys.

is this the cutest thing you have ever seen?????

I met this little girl yesterday at Mum’s Group- perhaps our latest and cutest ever additon at just 4 days old.

Trust me- I had to resist strongly not to bundle her up and take her home my myself.

She is a Rottweiler pup and wants a good home- email me if you are interested..

emily’s gorgeous family

This is very talented team member and photographer Emily Black with her beautiful family: husband Steve, daughter Lily and new arrival Dylan. They all braved a chilly afternoon for some fun and photos together.

I ’m thrilled to have been able to capture this very special time in their lives for them to look back on in the years to come.

darren & family- portraits photoshoot

It was another chilly weekend here in the Macedon Ranges last weekend when Darren, Amber, Jacob and Lily met me for our photosession. We were all very brave and rugged up for some fabulous cheeky fun. As you can see little Lily was especially cheeky and made us all smile! I hope Jacob enjoyed his PSP3- who says that bribery doesn’t work???

daniel and hayley’s wedding

Hayley and Daniel had the most beautiful wedding in what was one of the worst days of weather this year. Do you remember the long weekend in March and the ’storm of the century’ that hit Melbourne? Well- that was it! The ceremony and reception were held at the Melbourne Zoo in a massive marquee which was exquisitely decorated in the yellow & purple theme that Hayley had coordinated beautifully. We were actually really lucky even to walk outside for a few photos before the rain started again. After hearing the widespread damage across Melbourne that day on the next day’s news- we were all very pleased with how it went!

Hayley is not only a gorgeous bride but also very clever and into all things crafty- you can read her blog at: http://purplelulabell.blogspot.com/

The details for this wedding were AMAZING – as you can see – I have posted heaps of pics of them. Hayley made lots of these bits and pieces herself and others she sourced from the web.

Enjoy!

james & elise – engagement photos

James and Elise are getting married in October- how lucky am I to be shooting their wedding? Yes- it may get a little confusing on the day with our names being the same but I’m sure I will survive the day!

We got together recently on a wintery arvo to get some engagement photographs of them in the lead up to the wedding and as you can see- it was so much fun. They were a great couple and easy to photograph.

Enjoy!

adelaide’s nursery

I have been meaning to blog this for a while now- so here it is!

Yes- the room was blue before and I wasn’t bothered about painting it pink when I was pregnant and found it was going to be a girl. This fact tricked a lot of people into thinking we were actually having a boy!

I really didn’t want to spend a fortune in setting it up but I thought it was important that it have character and be as girlie as a blue room can be!

The gorgeous red and white quilt was handmade by my mum Marg. The hot pink cushion with “Adelaide” stitched on it was handmade by the very talented Verity Stubbs- yes- as well as being a photographer extraordinaire she is also clever at crafty things too! The Japanese style ’stuffie’ was handmade by Melly from Melly and Mewho we met last weekend at the Daylesford Craft Experience- I will blog a separate entry about that day soon. The cross stitch duck sampler was done by my also very clever friend Lay- I’m surrounded by crafty people!

The Raggedy Ann doll is mine from when I was a little girl, Peter Rabbit is from Alistair’s Mum (Adelaide) and I made the bunting! The owl artwork I got at the Flemington market, the butterflies on the wall and the gorgeous playmat are from Adairs Kids. The rug on the floor, the canopy, the curtains and the book shelf are all Ikea. The little drawers are Aldi.

Enjoy!

sam & brooke- melbourne wedding photography

The very talented Verity Stubbs shot this fabulous couple’s wedding below. Sam & Brooke were married here in Melbourne at St Bernadette’s Parish in North Sunshine and their reception was held at Lakeside. Lots of fun was had with bridal party photos at Anglers Tavern in Maribyrnong and in the city. It was a beautiful day for photography as the light was soft and golden. Michael from Allure also did a fabulous job shooting their wedding video.

Brooke is a very talented Graphic Artist and you can see that Brooke and Sam used one of their photos from their engagement shoot with us on on the front of their service booklets. What a great idea and just gorgeous!

Enjoy!

taryn & spencer – children’s portrait photos

Yummy mummy Taryn and little Spencer were such fun! Verity and I were both in on this photo shoot and as you can see we splashed in puddles, blew bubbles, opened umbrellas, rubbed Mummy’s belly and climbed stairs. We are really just big kids at heart hey? Can’t wait to meet the new little one due in August..

tom & kylie- echuca wedding photography

Wow! A beautiful winter wedding I shot just a couple of weeks ago.  How does a bride stay warm in winter?? With white long-johns and legwarmers of course! Not to mention poor Kylie having to wear jiffies because of her sore ankle she injured just a couple of weeks before the wedding! She really should have been on crutches but braved it and boy- doesn’t she look great?!? There were so many lovely quirky touches with this wedding- a 4wd for the bridal car, a Charlies Angel’s pose when coming down to the boat- however there were also lovely emotional moments such as Kylie being greeted by her father to walk down the aisle, Tom seeing her for the first time, Kylie’s grandfather doing a reading and both of their parents watching the ceremony hand in hand. Just beautiful.

The ceremony was held on the PS Pride of the Murray and the reception was at Madison Spa Resortin Moama. The fab flowers were by Wallingford Designer Flowers 0414 709 376 and hair and makeup by Sally Williams You can see I am pretty excited about blogging this wedding as there are so many good pics!

Enjoy!

mat & sally’s wedding – mornington peninsula photos

Shot by our very talented photographer Emily Black- who by the way is a new mum again- this time to little Dylan whom I will get round to blogging soon!

As you can see, Mat & Sally are a stunning couple – so no wonder Emily got some beautiful shots from their wedding day. The ceremony was held in Brighton followed by the reception at Vines of Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula. A quick stop for some photos and fun down the beach made for an awesome day all round.

Well done Emily!!! I know you were quite pregnant at this wedding ( I know exactly what you were going through as I was shooting Caron and Warren’s wedding that day and I was 4 weeks ahead of you!!!).

Enjoy!

Elise xo.

macedon family photos

Here is Scott & Kate with their gorgeous kids Tajh, Blaise and Sienna- how cute are they?!? Lots of fun too!

warren & caron- melbourne wedding photography

Caron & Warren had their beautiful wedding ceremony at The Dome, 333 Collins St in Melbourne. It’s a stunning place for a wedding and we have shot there before with great photos every time. The reception was at 9 Darling St South Yarra- a gorgeous venue- with the highlight for me being the Lolly Station!!! Yep- you can see by the pics that I was blown away by it- just devine! The Lolly Station and table settings etc were all beautifully done by those lovely ladies at A Lavish Affair.

Stunning couple and a fab day. Great wedding guys! (Thanks also to Sarah who helped me out for the day cause I was quite pregnant at this stage!)

Enjoy!

a chilly day out!- macedon ranges portrait photos

Yes- it was a chilly day here in the Macedon Ranges yesterday when I met this gorgeous family for our photo shoot.

Craig, Susie and Oliver braved the weather so we could get some fantastic photos and we were lucky enough to found a fabulous little spot in Riddells Creek where there is still colour in the trees. How cute is little Oliver??? They were lots of fun and we made it just in time before the rain started. Thanks for a great arvo guys!

scott & simone- wedding photos – northern victoria

Simone and Scott’s wedding was everything a wedding should be. It was emotional, fun, personal and their family and friends played a huge role on the day.
Their ceremony was held in a family friends backyard on the banks of the Murray River where they spend a lot of their spare time skiing and was contributed to by most of their family members with readings and music.
At the end the guests were encouraged to sing a long to “With A Little Help from my Friends” by The Beatles before Simone and Scott left on their boat.

The Reception was at the stunning All Saints Winery in Wahgunyah with all their photos being done there. Check out their ‘cheesecake’ which is quite literally that!

Simone and Scott adored each other and made my job as a photographer just far too easy.

Enjoy!

Verity.

Lily and Fletcher- Children’s portrait photography- Romsey

We are now taking bookings for children and family photos on Saturdays- so make the most of the gorgeous autumn weather and colours and call us on 9094 1888 to book your session.

Here is Lily and her cousin Fletcher having a cheeky time with our photo session. Fletcher wouldn’t let go of his Stilh chainsaw- you can see it makes him very happy. We also got a few shots with their Grandma- I love these.

toby & sarah’s wedding- creswick wedding photos

Toby &  Sarah were the lucky winners our a Wedding Photography Package Giveaway back in Jan 2009 and they were married a couple of months back. It was a gorgeous country wedding- held at Creswick, Victoria, not too far from Ballarat. It was an emotional day as Sarah lost her grandfather just a few months before the wedding and he was very special to her. She had a tattoo done especially to remember him and needed to comfort her Nan througha touching time for them all.

After the church ceremony we got some great photos on location at the old Creswick Hospital which is now a university campus- the diffused light on the day was also amazing. Vintage cars and happy bridal party made for a wonderful photoshoot.

I know you have been waiting for a while for me to blog this guys- so you can now start showing them off as we work on getting your album to the printers!

Enjoy!

Are you sick of her yet?

Ok- so Adelaide is stealing the show at the moment- but she is only 11 days old- so I reckon that is fair enough. She is already realising that there may just be a few photos taken of her in her lifetime and she may as well ‘work it’- which she is doing in many of these photos.

Thanks to the very talented Verity Stubbs for coming to our home and capturing these special moments for us.

Elise xo.

Introducing our new team member…

A huge congratulations to Elise and Alistair on the arrival of the absolutely adorable Adelaide Margaret.

Little Adelaide came into the world on April 18th at 4.15am weighing 7lb 13oz. Mum and bub are both doing extremely well and can’t stop staring into each others eyes.

Big kisses and hugs from us all xxx

Stuart and Hannah’s wedding- Daylesford wedding photographer

Here is Stuart and Hannah’s gorgeous Daylesford wedding held at one of our all time favourite venues- Sault Restaurant. Hannah is a school teacher and some of her puils came to see her- it was a fabulous moment!

The details in the wedding were stunning- Hannah has exquisite taste as you can see. The combination of all the different elements made for a beautiful wedding and I was so happy I got to photograph it.

This wedding will be featured in the next edition of  I do I do Creations Magazine which is out July 1st.

Enjoy!

Ben & Usha – Echuca Moama wedding photography

Usha and Ben’s stunning wedding at Cape Horn Vineyard in Moama photographed by talented team photographer Emily Black.

The wedding was a civil ceremony with some traditional indian elements such as ‘The Seven Steps, exchanging of garlands and an Aarti’- all conducted under beautiful gum trees by the Murray River.  The ceremony was conducted by Usha’s Dad Clive – who is a civil celebrant- and assisted by Ben’s mum (Veronica) who has a qualification in theology. It was a relaxed, initmate wedding with close friends and family in a beautiful location and enjoyed by all.

I just loved Usha’s traditional Indian Sari but also the relaxed Australian elements they combined into the wedding to make the perfect blend which summed up their union together. I’m sure you’ll agree it was gorgeous and Emily did a great job.

Enjoy! xo

sam & kara – woodend wedding photography

I was so excited before this wedding. I had such a great time with Sam and Kara’s engagement shoot that I knew their wedding was going be just gorgoues- and I was right!

It was all held at Cammeray Waters in Woodend- a stunning backdrop nestled in the bush by a gorgeous lake. It’s photo opportunities are endless and there is also accomodation for all the guests to stay there as well- what a bonus!

It was an intimate wedding- only around 30 guests attended which made it very personal and quite emotional at times- which I always love.

Kara was a beautiful bride  with a slight vintage style and I just loved the patterned bridesmaids dresses too. Little Ella was a real cutie as the flowergirl and lapped up all the attention.

Everyone was very welcoming to me- well and truly waddling by then and my assistant Lisa was there to help out too. We both had a great day and the wedding photos speak for themselves.

Enjoy!

I’m off!

Don’t stress though- I will still be blogging all the gorgeous weddings we have been shooting over summer because I can’t wait to share.

Coming soon is the stunning Woodend wedding of Kara & Sam- (cause I know you are dying to for them to be blogged Kara!!).

I will also blog pics of the new bub when it arrives so stay tuned!

Pleeeeeease be nice and patient with Verity and staff whilst I am taken some time off over the winter- it will be business as usual but I won’t be available.

In the meantime here is the final belly shot of me snapped a couple of days ago by Verity- really quite HUGE now.

Thanks for all your support and best wishes.

phil & susan- echuca wedding photography

Ok- firstly- yes I have been a bit slack in blog updates as late- it may have something to do with the fact that there is a massive bowling ball like bub in my belly that is due to show itself  in  a couple of weeks! Anyway- still so many stunning weddings to share with you so I hope to keep on top of the updating even after the bub arrives.

Now- this Echuca wedding was just stunning. I have been dying to blog these guys! Phil & Susan booked me ages ago as their wedding photographer and I was so excited when the time finally came. It was a very warm January day- 39 deg in fact and I was lucky to have help from my brother Jim Gow from Speed Shop Photography- I was so glad to have him on board- thanks bro!

The ceremony was held at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Echuca follwed by the reception at the always wonderful Morrison’s Winery in Moama. I love the emotional moments- like Susan’s father seeing her for the first time and Phil’s grandfather welcoming Susan into the family outside the church right through to their speeches and first dance. They were so into each other that the whole world could have disappeared and they would not have noticed. Don’t you just love it??

Enjoy!

dean & rachel – lancefield wedding photos

Dean & Rachel were married at gorgeous Glen Erin in Lancefield. The ceremony was held under a magnificent gum tree beside the grape vines in front of their family and friends. We went for a wander around the property for some photos with the bridal party and also to a country road so I could get pics with the beautiful ranges that surround Lancefield. The guests partied all night right up to and beyond the midnight fireworks which was a fabulous end to a great wedding day.

Enjoy!

dan & rachelle – daylesford wedding photography

Here is Dan and Rachelle’s gorgeous wedding photographed by one of our very talented team of photographers – Emily Black. It was held at the stunning  Convent Gallery in Daylesford- one of our favourite spots to shoot weddings and you can see why! These guys are just so in love, there was so much emotion and joy to capture. After a few pics at the Convent Gallery they had time to go down to Lake Daylesford for some more beautiful shots.

Congrats to you both!

nathan & renae – engagement photos – echuca

Boy- I just love Echuca. What an amazing setting for photos and it helps to have such a gorgeous couple like Renae and Nathan to photograph!

Renae is a very talented graphic artist and web designer and designed both our Elise Gow Photography website and also The Boudoir Boutique website. We just love her stuff! Very clever girl!

These lovebirds have their wedding in November in Bendigo so we thought we would get some shots of them in their hometown of Echuca to celebrate their engagement.

As you can see- we had lots of fun! Can’t wait to photograph your wedding guys.

We had lots of fun!

baby bumps!!

Time to celebrate our pending arrivals! Only around 10 weeks to go now for me and 13 for Emily, so we thought it was time for a photoshoot and what a better spot than down the beach in gorgeous Melbourne on sunset. The very talented Verity took these shots of me and I just couldn’t wait to share them. She did such a fabulous since I’m usually behind the camera and not a huge fan of being on front of it!

We will be doing more and more belly shots in the future- so come on you preggo ladies out there- book in for your very own shoot! What a perfect way to capture this amazing time in our lives.

Michael & Rebecca- Woodend wedding photos

What a beautiful couple, a stunning venue and a fabulous day. All these things combined make for great photos! Cammeray Waters is located just a few minutes from Woodend and is on eo four favourite venues to shoot weddings at- and you can see why! Rebecca was a gorgeous bride and Michael was completely besotted- he couldn’t even look at her directly during their vows- just so moving to watch.

Thanks for a great day guys!

little tahlia

Here’s little Tahlia- gorgeous daughter of Kosi and Sarah- who’s stunning wedding appeared on my old blog back in September 2008: http://elisegowphotography.blogspot.com/2008/09/kosi-sarah-20th-september-2008.html

Making even more clucky that mine is coming soon- 3 months and counting!

Jeff & Charlotte- Melbourne wedding photos- Part 2

Ok- Part 2 of this stunning wedding! I know you’ve all been waiting for the second installment. The gorgeous ceremony was held at the Botanical Gardens and as you can see- the rain held off for most of the day. We did need to get the umbrellas out when we went into the city for some photos- but it added to the fun of the day. As you can see- they can’t keep the smiles off their faces!

The reception was held at a stunning art deco inspired restaurant in Richmond, Church St Enoteca and it was an emotional and fun evening of great food, family, friends and celebration.

Enjoy!

baby mila

Here is little Mila- not so much of a baby any more but a lovely little girl! I photographed her parent’s wedding, Peter and Elena and now they have little Mila to keep them very busy indeed. I had a great time with them on our photoshoot before Christmas and I heard that Mum Elena cried happy tears when she picked up their photos. I couldn’t get a better response.

Roman & Vicki – Melbourne wedding photography

Roman & Vicki had their beautiful wedding earlier this month at Overnewton Castle- what a stunning location for a wedding- and a photographers paradise! The bride was a goddess in her grecian style gown- just ideal for the setting. It was a gorgeous intimate occasion with family and friends and a small bridal party which suited them perfectly.

Enjoy!

jeff and charlotte- melbourne wedding photos- part 1

Jeff and Charlotte are currently on honeymoon travelling around Australia so I thought I would post this teaser until I get round to posting the rest of their wedding. There are just so many lovely moments from this wedding! Jeff and Charlotte are kiwi’s and lots of their friends and family came over from New Zealand for the wedding. They were such a welcoming and friendly bunch! I really enjoyed the day. It was full of emotion and it really was a pleasure to capture it all. I love the shots of Charlotte’s Dad Wal seeing her for the first time- let alone when Jeff gets teary at the ceremony. Delightful!

Enjoy Part 1!

Chris and Alison- Echuca wedding photography

I just love Echuca/Moama and  we were back there recently to capture Chris and Alison’s gorgeous wedding. What a dream place for a photographer! The ceremony and reception was held at Morrison’s Winery in Moama- a devine location with the ceremmony held by the Murray River and under the towering gum trees. We also got some more great photos in the Echuca Port area. Alison was a classic bride and stunning to photograph. I also had lots of fun with their bridal party- thanks for making me feel so welcome guys!

toby & sarah – engagement photo session

Don’t you just love Daylesford?? Toby and Sarah along with their 2 gorgeous boys,  braved a chilly morning a couple of months back for their engagment photography session with me. We had such fun feeding the (very eager!) geese at Daylesford Lake.

Toby and Sarah were the lucky winners of our Wedding Photography Package Giveaway valued at $3495 which we ran last January at the Bridal Expo Spectacular. They were thrilled and I am already looking forward to shooting their Feb 2010 Ballarat wedding.

tim and kylie – melbourne wedding photos

Kylie and Tim were married in October here in Melbourne on the most beautiful day. As you can see – there was not a cloud in the sky! The ceremony was held on the rooftop at The St Kilda Baths followed by a devine High Tea for their reception at Hotel Nest in Albert Park. The persian fairy floss was a real hit with the guests not to mention the lamingtons, scones with jam and cream and cucumber sandwiches. Just delightful!

photos of baby max – just 11 days old

Here is baby Max. He is just so handsome! He has obviously inherited his great looks from parents Jodi and Damo who are thrilled with their new addition.
